Dress her up! Bermuda Day Picnic Part II
Whatever you're having as your 'main' picnic dish on Bermuda Day, you'll want to have some show-stopping sides. Here are my recipes for potato salad two ways (I say potato, you say potaaato) and a good old-fashioned Mac 'n' Cheese. Enjoy!

Lord of the Fries
Bermuda Day is nearly here! For some, this means observing the Bermudian traditions and customs described in our Bermuda Day article. For others, it’s just a relief to have break from the daily grind and an excuse to relax on the couch with a cold beer: someone else can do the swimming, the camping, and stand out in the midday sun to watch the parade.
But all locals agree on one thing: May 24th is a chance to eat some of the best food Bermuda has to offer. Bermudians fire up the BBQ and the smell of hamburgers, fried chicken and Portuguese sausage floats on the breeze. Crunchy coleslaw, watermelon and sandwiches galore weigh down picnic baskets. In the next couple of blog articles, I’m going to share some recipes for the foods without which Bermuda Day just wouldn’t be complete, starting today with Fried Chicken.
