The
Bermuda Government has taken a significant step
forward on E Government when it launched its E
Government Portal in April 2004. The Portal project
is continuing to provide Government services and
information available electronically through a
single website. The first phase of the Portal provided
all current Government information, publications
and documents located in a single site www.gov.bm searchable
and navigable by citizens, businesses and visitors
alike. The next phases will see existing and new
Departmental applications integrated on to the
Portal, such as the existing E Tax application
(for paying payroll tax) and the imminent TCD web-enabled
appointment booking facility.
