Bermuda Public Holidays

 

The following are the lists of Public Holidays for 2011 and 2012. Government offices are closed on Public Holidays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year, but otherwise open for business each week from Monday to Friday, 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Public Holidays that fall on a Sunday are normally observed the following day.

 

Emancipation Day and Somers Day (Cup Match) will always be the Thursday and Friday before the 1st Monday in August.

As New Year's Day, 1st January 2011 falls on a Saturday, Government Offices will be closed on Monday 3rd January by virtue of Section 7A of the Public Holidays Act, 1947.
       
         
As Christmas Day, 25th December 2011 falls on a Sunday, Tuesday 27th December will be kept as a public holiday by virtue of Section 7A of the Public Holidays Act, 1947.
