The Bermuda National Trust (BNT) cares for 82 properties throughout the Island, from gardens to historic houses, nature reserves, islands, cemeteries and beyond, as well as several museums housing Bermudian artefacts. These include the Carter House, Verdmont Historic House and Garden, the Bermuda National Trust Museum at Globe Hotel, Spittal Pond, Paget Marsh and Boardwalk, Somerset Long Bay and many more. An advocate for Bermuda’s natural environment, the BNT’s education programme is second to none.

The Bermuda National Trust strives to protect and promote the Island’s unique natural and cultural heritage via acquiring and conserving land, buildings and artefacts, while advocating, researching, educating and participating.

A non-profit registered charity, the Bermuda National Trust relies on the financial generosity of the public as well as the work of many volunteers. The BNT’s annual revenue comes from Trust property rent, donations and fundraising and a number of additional sources including government grants, membership dues, museum admissions and cultural tourism. Bequests are available for assisting in protecting Bermuda’s environment, properties and artefacts.

Events

The Bermuda National Trust hosts many exciting fundraising events throughout the year. These range from the annual International Conference of National Trusts to children’s nature walks, film screenings in association with the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute (BUEI), the Christmas Walkabout, auctions, sales and more.
