Description

The Deputy Governor is appointed by the Governor to fill in his shoes in his absence and assist him in his responsibilities.

 

The Deputy Governor assists with and chairs committees working to achieve the broad responsibilities of the Governor and works with the Government to ensure that counter-terrorism and disaster plans are exercised regularly. They also represent the Governor on the Emergency Measures Organization Executive Committee. They are responsible for ensuring that international obligations related to aviation, marine, environment and human right issues are met.
