The Department of Youth, Sports and Recreation has operated Bermuda's After School Programme since its inception in 1985.

Sports available through the After School Programme include badminton, rugby, volleyball, tennis and bowling. Our reational programmes offer educational and life skill development, such as the Explorers Club at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute and art instruction through Masterworks Museum and Pride Bermuda. 2 programmes have been added recently, the Homework Programme where children are provided a quiet place to work on and receive assistance with their homework and the Sportsmanship Programme, which fosters good sportsmanship across various sporting disciplines. The programmes offered are affordable and use a vouchers system. The vouchers are available at the Bermuda Government Post Office.
