Description

Formed in 1973, Bermuda Riding For The Disabled provides therapeutic riding for special needs children on the island.

A board of directors and fundraisers fund and run the program. Horseback riding is beneficial form of physical therapy and rehabilitation and our horses are used in a variety of ways to develop physical and cognitive skills, and improve the social and emotional wellbeing, of persons with special needs. We accept donations from the public and don’t charge the riders. We have 5 horses and ponies, including 2 Fjord ponies and the use of another horse for the program. Our team consists of 2 paid members and volunteers.
