Financial Assistance Budget Counseling falls under the Department of Financial Assistance and is headquartered in Hamilton.

We are responsible for the assessment of Bermudians who need financial assistance and ensuring that each Bermudian with insufficient resources has access to services in order to maintain a minimum standard of living. We check and verify recipients' eligibility for financial awards that are within legislative guidelines. We offer budget counseling to help residents manage and control their finances and assess individuals on a one-by-one basis. We also provide timely policy advice to the Permanent Secretary and the Minister of Youth, Families and Sports.
