Description

The Department of Energy, formed in 2008, falls under the Ministry of Economic Development and Tourism and is headquartered in Hamilton.

We are responsible for developing the policy, legislation, and regulation needed to ensure a secure energy future for Bermuda. In addition to policy making, we also provide public education and our internal policies and initiatives enable us to lead by example for energy conservation, efficiency, and using renewable and alternate energy resources. We run various programmes to educate the general public on energy conservation and efficiency.

We also offer consultation to the department of Planning for all applications for energy related development. Email us or write in for more information and we ensure that we'll respond in a timely manner.
