2014 Brings the 10th Edition of Bermuda Documentary Film Festival

The Bermuda Documentary Film Festival (“Bermuda Docs”) is a bi-annual independent film festival, held every April and October, featuring top documentary films from around the world.
 

This year, the festival will run from April 17-20 in the Tradewinds Auditorium of the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute. From the story of the demise of Apartheid in South Africa (Plot for Peace), to the life of an organic farmer and his cows (The Moo Man) and a glimpse into the life of a famous motor racer (Jackie Stewart: Weekend of the Champion) and many more, Bermuda Docs has created a lineup of 11 extremely entertaining films that will have you thinking.
 

The full festival schedule is as follows:

Thursday, April 17th
 

6:00pm - Plot for Peace (Documentary Award, Galway Film Fleadh)

8:15pm - Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon (World Premiere, Toronto International Film Festival)
 

Friday, April 18th
 

6:00pm - God Loves Uganda (Shortlisted for Best Documentary Academy Award®)

8:15pm - Our Man in Tehran (Audience Award, Victoria International Film Festival)
 

Saturday, April 19th
 

2:00pm - The Moo Man (Nominated, Best Documentary, British Independent Film Awards)

4:30pm - The Last Days in Vietnam (World Premiere, 2014 Sundance Film Festival)

7:00pm - The Final Member (World Premiere, Hot Docs English and Icelandic with English subtitles)

9:00pm - Jackie Stewart: Weekend of the Champion (World Premiere, Cannes Film Festival)

 

Sunday, April 20th

 

3:00pm - Red Obsession (Best Documentary, Australian Academy Awards)

5:00pm - Ai weiwei: Fake Case (Best Documentary, Danish Film Critics’ Awards)

7:15pm - Evergreen: The Road to Legalisation in Washington (Silver Spiffy Award, Spokane International Film Festival)
