10 Restaurants That Are Indeed Open For Cup Match

by Kristen 21st July 2014

We've found an interesting paradox: on the one hand, the entire Island tends to stop running for the holidays and on the other, holidays usually present the best opportunity to wine and dine with loved ones.

We decided to do some investigating and found a few businesses that do indeed want to feed you on Bermuda's Emancipation (July 31st) and Sir George Somers Days (August 1st). Below is a list to help you avoid that awkward moment of walking up to a closed kitchen during Cup Match.

The Beach House at St. George's Club

With its rich history dating back to 1718, The Beach House at Blackbeard's has been newly transformed into a chic restaurant that offers Chef Piero's 'the flavour of world cuisine'.

If you're heading east for the cricket match, be sure to come and sit on the terrace of what feels like your own personal beach house surrounded by spectacular views of the ocean and a breathtaking sunset.  They are open every day of Cup Match and are offering daily specials. We recommend that you make reservations.

Opening Hours:

Thursday Lunch (12pm), Dinner (6:30pm to 10:30pm)

Friday Lunch (12pm), Dinner (6:30pm to 10:30pm)

Hog Penny

Looking to escape the mid-summer heat? The Hog Penny offers you a cozy Hamilton restaurant and pub that has been a Bermudian favorite for years. With a menu that features great cuts of beef, genuine Indian curries, hearty pub food and Bermuda brewed beer on tap, the hungry and thirsty will all find something to love at Hog Penny.  Don't miss their live entertainment featuring

Located in the Royal Naval Dockyard on Bermuda's West End, this is another restaurant that will keep you away from all of the commotion. Enjoy fresh seafood at affordable prices and with an astounding sea view.
