Description

The Bermuda Red Cross

Founded on August 1st, 1950, as a branch of the British Red Cross Society, the Bermuda Red Cross has evolved from a modest Nursing Reserve into a cornerstone of humanitarian aid for the island. For over 75 years, we have remained dedicated to our mission: to prevent and alleviate human suffering wherever it may be found, protecting life and health and ensuring respect for the human being.

Operating from our headquarters at "Charleswood" in Paget, we serve as a vital auxiliary to Bermuda’s public authorities. Whether we are managing the island's historical blood donor recruitment, providing essential medical equipment, or offering world-class First Aid and CPR training, our focus is always on the most vulnerable. As a member of the Emergency Measures Organization (EMO) sub-committee, we stand ready to provide disaster relief, psychosocial support, and emergency supplies whenever our community—or the world—needs us most.

10 Core Pillars of Our Service
