Description

Formed in 1946, the Bermuda Industrial Union is a general union made up of some 18 semi autonomous divisions. Predominantly "Blue Collar," our membership is drawn from a wide range of industries and occupations across the island.

We promote legislation in the interest of our members, and also organize and negotiate on their behalf. Our primary aim is to secure the complete organization in the Union of all employees and to obtain and maintain rates of pay, hours of work and employment conditions that are in the best interest of the employee. We also regulate relations between employees and employers.

The Bermuda Industrial Union owns and runs a gas station as well as rents the Liberty Theatre and several commercial units and bachelor apartments. Contact us to learn more or to become a member.
