Bermuda's Marine Resources (Fisheries) Officer works under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.

We educate the public and raise awareness about marine life on the island and coordinate and support all activities to control marine population. We’re responsible for protecting Bermuda’s environment and promoting the sustainable use of our natural resources. We monitor, regulate and enforce the use of natural resources and are also responsible for formulating fishery and marine resource management programmes and regulations. We research and monitor a wide variety of marine species that are of local, regional and international importance. We also provide extension services to the fishing industry.
