Honorable Michael M. Fahy is the Senator and is the Minister responsible for Immigration. The Department of Immigration is committed to serve travelers and conserve and protect Bermuda for the benefit of residents and visitors.

Our authority is derived from the Bermuda Immigration and Protection Act 1956. We determine who enters Bermuda and the duration of their stay. We are responsible to process applications for Bermudian status, travel documents, work permit, ticket validation, investigations, license to purchase land, letter for spouses of Bermudians, deportations and more. We’re responsible for the management, administration, control and implementation of Ministers and department’s policies and strategic planning processes and for the development, implementation and maintenance of information system.
