Working under the Ministry of Legal Affairs in Beruda, the Department of Attorney-General’s Chamber has been in existence since 1698.

Bermuda's Minister of Legal Affairs, the Attorney General is the legal advisor to the Government of Bermuda and provides public access to Bermuda’s law. The Attorney General's Chambers/Justice is appointed by the Governor under the constitution. The individual is administratively responsible for Director of Public Prosecutions who is otherwise independent and handles all criminal matters.
