The concept of the community school expands the use of the classroom and the workplace utilizing shared facilities and resources where learning and living converge. These courses provide participants the opportunity to explore new fields, retool, retrain skill sets, sharpen professional skills and enrich their lives to promote self-sufficient and productive citizens.
We take our Mission Statement and mandate seriously, and encourage residents of all ages in our community to engage in the various educational, social, cultural, recreational, trade and industry-based courses.
New evening courses being offered this term include: Barbering, Body Combat, GED, Hypnosis for Health, National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP), Prenatal Yoga, Wild Cooking with Herbs and Plants of Bermuda, Yoga for Kids, Youth Archery, and much more.
Courses that are back by popular demand and will be offered this term include: Art – Painting and Drawing, Caribbean and Indian Cuisine, Developmental English and Mathematics, Entrepreneurship, Exploring Trust vs. Will, French, Sewing Combo, Social Media, Spanish, Understanding Alzheimer's and Dementia, Unlocking Your Human Potential, Weight Conditioning, among others.
