Harrington Hundreds began, in 1948, as a small one-room over the counter country grocery store. In the 1970s, it grew to two rooms and became self-service.
The Aguiar family; brothers Anthony, Dan, John, together with their father, Alfred, and cousin Libby, took over the business in August of 1984. We are proud that now three generations of our family have been involved in the development and growth of Harrington Hundreds.
As one of the few remaining family owned and operated independent supermarkets in Bermuda, we take delight in having created points of distinction that have set us apart from the rest. We pioneered the introduction of specialty items, gluten free, organic and natural foods while making these healthy choices ubiquitous to the food industry in Bermuda today. We became the nutritious whole foods leader and the store to go to when what you ate became truly important to you.
Whether you’re in search of fresh-baked desserts and cakes, a quick hot breakfast, lunch or dinner, or a great cut of Certified Black Angus Beef, Harrington Hundreds will have it for you. Seasonal Bermuda grown produce and locally caught fish is also offered. We stock over 350 wines from across the globe, alongside spirits and beers.
We’d like in invite you, residents and visitors to Bermuda alike, to come in and experience our great little market.
Thank you for allowing us to serve you.
We think that’s “Caring where it really counts!”
