At the Ageing and Disability Service of the Ministry of Health, we strive to enhance the lives of seniors and persons with physical and intellectual disabilities. We accomplish this by using our four primary functions which are Case Management, Compliance, Advocacy, and Collaboration. Case management provides families with care plans. Compliance enforces legislation, etc. Advocacy represents speaking on behalf of seniors and persons with disabilities and, Collaboration represents our connection with other agencies.
Some of our services include investigating reports of senior abuse, administering licensing and inspections of care homes, educating the public on our services, and planning and managing programs and events for seniors and persons with disabilities.
