Description

Located in Devonshire under the Department of Works and Engineering, Recycling Officers work with schools, businesses and environmental NGOs in Bermuda to provide hands-on learning experiences, waste audits, waste facility tours and volunteer opportunities.

Recycling Officers work with the Bermuda community and are responsible for keeping the island clean by disposing of household and horticultural waste properly. We work with neighborhoods to educate individuals on the proper methods of waste disposal to avoid human health implications and keep the island clean. Illegal dumping is a punishable crime, with clean up costs often amounting to thousands of dollars and a fine of up to $10,000.
