Bermuda Red Cross Senior Services supports older adults across Bermuda through community programs, transportation assistance, and medical equipment support designed to promote independence and wellbeing. Operated by the Bermuda Red Cross, these services help seniors remain active, socially connected, and supported within their communities.
One of the organization’s key initiatives is the Golden Hour Seniors Club, which offers a welcoming space for fellowship, education, and entertainment. The club meets at the Peace Lutheran Church Hall on the first and third Wednesdays of each month (excluding July and August) and features activities such as guest talks, bingo, musical performances, and special events including hat and talent shows.
The program also operates a transportation service that provides free rides for elderly community members traveling to and from medical appointments across the island. With the help of dedicated volunteers completing over 1,000 trips each year, seniors receive reliable support accessing essential healthcare.
In addition, Bermuda Red Cross provides access to medical equipment rentals such as wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, crutches, and other mobility aids to assist seniors and caregivers throughout Bermuda.
