Description

Paget Marsh is an unspoiled marsh, forest and nature reserve in central Bermuda.  Located next to St. Paul's  Church along Middle Road in Paget Parish. The 25 acre official reserve is protected by the Bermuda National Trust and Bermuda Audubon Society.

The reserve's extensive peat marsh remiains unchanged since the days of the first settlers. It is dotted with Bermuda Cedar and Sabal Bermudana palmetto trees. A boardwalk erected in 1999, is available for use and is accessible to the ponds, mangroves, grasslands and forests.

The marsh has peat to depths of 20-30 feet which is also acidic and does not permit growth of many of the natural species of Bermuda, as it gets flooded during high tides.
