Bermuda Electric Light Company Limited (BELCO), is committed to ensuring the health and safety of all their staff and customers. They have activated their crisis management team and will work to ensure business continuity and operational coverage and assures the public that they are committed to maintaining electricity supply. The customer service centre will remain open at 27 Serpentine Road but will be open from Monday—Friday, 8:30am—3:30pm, until further notice. Social distancing has also been adopted for the health and safety of customers, particularly seniors and vulnerable customers, and our staff by limiting the number of customers in the lobby to six or less at a time. They strongly advocate that customers consider their self-service options such as online service requests, online payments, applying for direct and on-demand debit services and payment through online banking. They are now accepting MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. All credit card fees will be waived. They have also announced that they will not carry out any disconnects due to non-payment of bills through April 30, 2020.
