Works by Mozart, Handel, Borodin, Verdi, and Humperdinck are included in the program for an exhilarating and nostalgic tasting of the classics Mozart worked on the Requiem in D minor until the evening of his passing. It was commissioned by a German aristocrat for a Requiem Mass in honor of his late wife. Given the passing of the Queen in September, it is regarded as one of the greatest choral Requiem works. In addition to these great works, also included in the programme some children’s choral highlights from the Opera “Hansel and Gretel”.
