Bermuda Musical & Dramatic Society presents The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie for the first time in Bermuda.
The Mousetrap debuted in the West End of London in 1952 and ran continuously until the COVID-19 epidemic forced a temporary halt to the stage productions on March 16, 2020. It reopened on May 17, 2021. As of November 2022, it had been seen 28,915 times, making it the longest-running play in history and the longest-running West End production.
A killer is among the group of strangers who become stuck in a boarding house during a snowstorm. The newlywed couple that runs the residence is one of the suspects, and their ideal marriage is almost ruined by the suspicions they harbor. A former Army major, an architect who looks more suited to be a chef, a bizarre small man who says his car wrecked in a drift, a curiously backgrounded spinster, and a judge who makes life terrible for everyone else are among the others. It is the detective's responsibility to ascertain who is innocent and who is not once a murder has occurred.
